Symposium Focus:

Powerful gene expression tools have been around for some time and they are
continuously improved and refined. In parallel exciting applications are being developed. In this TATAA symposium on: "Developments in Real-Time PCR - Research and Molecular Diagnostics" we will put our focus to Multimarker molecular diagnostics, pathogen detection in food, feed and medical samples, new technologies for human diagnostics, qPCR data management and analysis and forthcoming technologies

Symposium Highlights:

  • Single cell qPCR, Stem cells and tumor stem cells
  • High resolution melting, methylation analysis and epigenetics
  • MicroRNA expression profiling
  • High throughput multiplexed immunoassays
  • Standardizations, quality control and method validation
  • Standard operating procedures, Biostatistics and Bioinformatics
  • High throughput qPCR platforms, qPCR on chip, integrated platforms
  • Alternative diagnostic methods for genetic analysis
  • Trends in molecular diagnostics in Europe

Key Speakers:

  • Stephen Bustin, Professor of Molecular Science, Barts and the London School of Medicine andDentistry, Queen Mary University of London.
  • Mikael Kubista, Institute of Biotechnology, CAS, and founder of TATAA Biocenter
  • Michael W. Pfaffl, Reader in Physiology, Weihenstephan, Germany

Workshops:

In conjunction with the symposium three of TATAA’s highly appreciated courses are offered along with an “Invited speakers course”. Due to high interest there are only few places left on the hands-on qPCR workshop and the HRM workshop is now full. Places are still available on the Biostatistics course and "Invited speakers course".
